When I started Code Republic, my goal was simple: to fill a gap I saw in the market for women’s laptop bags that were as sophisticated and empowering as the women who carry them. As a professional woman myself, I knew the frustration of choosing between a functional, but uninspiring bag, or a chic bag that wasn’t practical for daily use. I wanted to change that, and that’s how Code Republic was born.
How It All Started
Back in 2016, I launched Code Republic in Sydney, Australia. With my background in both fashion design and tech, I saw an opportunity to merge these two worlds in a way that hadn’t been done before. Women deserved more than basic, uninspired work bags. I envisioned something that was not only functional but also a symbol of the modern professional woman’s strength, style, and ambition.
I’m proud to say that what started as a small venture has since grown into a global brand. Code Republic now has offices & team members in LA, Miami, and Seattle, with a distribution warehouse in Boise, Idaho, from which we ship our luxury leather goods to women around the world.

From the beginning, I wanted Code Republic to reflect something deeper than just fashion. I believe in challenging traditional ideas of what professionalism looks like for women. We’re not just here to blend in—we’re here to stand out, and that’s something I wanted every bag to embody.
